Why do it?
Hiking in Tarifa will show you the pure natural untouched beauty that is the Andalucian countryside. Tarifa and its surrounding Natural Park has it all; from pine forrests and olive groves to river valley’s with subtropical vegetation, you will discover rare plants and animals that can only be found here.
There’s nothing like exploring on foot, through gorges, villages and sand dunes or the last cork oak forrests in Europe, ending up in one of nature’s natural pools under a waterfall.
Where do we do it?
The local National Park Alcornocales – There is a variety of terrains with incredible vegetation and spectacular views stretching from beach to mountain and on both sides of Tarifa.
When can I do it?
The climate in Tarifa allows year round hiking although the summer months can be more challenging!
Guided hiking routes are organized all year round – contact us to check what is on during your stay – apart from the actual ones we can organize personal hiking guide who can plan a tailored made route, depending on your requirements.
Comfortable walking shoes or trainers are essential. Bring plenty of sunscreen, water and energy! A snack is also a good idea to keep those energy levels up!
